Blasphemous II: A Highly Anticipated Sequel to be Released on August 24th, 2023

A potential slip-up on the PlayStation Store may have just revealed an important piece of information from Sony. According to a trailer that surfaced today, it seems that The Game Kitchen’s Blasphemous II will be launched on August 24th, 2023, aligning with its previously announced summer release date (via Gematsu on Twitter). At the time of writing, we can confirm that the trailer is available on the PlayStation Store (on PS5) and displays the aforementioned date at the end of the video, showcasing impressive animated scenes and gory Metroidvania gameplay.

This highly anticipated sequel was first unveiled in 2021, and things had remained relatively quiet until earlier this year when it made a surprise appearance during a Nintendo Indie World presentation. It was expected to be a major reveal at tonight’s Summer Game Fest 2023 Opening Showcase, but it seems to have slipped out a little early. Stay tuned!
